About

Deep in the scene, not just watching it

I'm a Toronto-based concert and festival photographer who prepares for shows the way artists prepare for them — studying setlists, interviews, and past productions to understand the vision of the an artist and the story they are trying to tells before I ever raise a camera. That preparation means I'm not just reacting to what's happening onstage but anticipating it, capturing the moments that define a performance, not just document it.

I shoot from the pit for the raw energy of the performance, and from inside the crowd to capture what the night actually feels like as an attendee - the crowd surfs, the mosh pits, the fan moments that make someone want to be there next time. I arrive early to document the backstage prep and stay until the end to catch the post-show interactions: the meet and greets, the fans finally face-to-face with the artist. The full arc of the night, not just the set.
